Let’s get to know more….

How did you start?

It all started during my youth service when it was mandatory to learn a skill; I have always loved the beauty line (looking good always) so I went into learning makeup then decided to continue after my NYSC by doing make up for people and getting paid for it.  At some point, my job didn’t give me enough time needed so I added selling accessories to the makeup deal and here I am today.

Your motivation;

Hard work And Success

Did you know...the beginning of Fashion Designing.

Did you know that fashion designing kicked off in the 1800s or even earlier than that???? WOW!!!

Allow me to take you back.... Fashion began from the time clothes were designed to cover nakedness, however, there are some people who stood out in the fashion industry;

Sir Charles Frederick Worth

 The first fashion designer in the world to have his name engraved on his garment. This was done in 1858. He was born on 13th October,1825 and passed on 10th March, 1895. He was an English man and one of the first ever to design Victorian dresses. See a picture of him and some of  his designs below;

Fashion Enthusiasm with Oma.

Fashion is not just wearing a nice outfit and some good pair of shoes but a definition of WHO YOU ARE. A lot of people say "don't judge a book by its cover", I agreed..... however, the eyes has to see the book first before it can judge; the eyes does the tasting before the tongue' and that's a fact whether it is accepted or not.....! so always look good no matter what.

Looking good is the best business; when you are well-dressed? your CONFIDENCE will radiate the entire room when you enter a place, plus, there is a level of respect people will accord to you not because they know how much you are worth but for the fact that you are nicely put together.... top notch! Funny enough, it is not all about what brand you are representing; you can make a real Hermes bag worth millions of naira look like a polyethene bag depending on how you carry and present yourself (don't mind me, I love "authentic" fashion designers). Fashion is all about knowing what suits you and how well you are able to rock it....NAIL IT!

Interestingly, my Mom is my major fashion inspiration!!! Gosh!!!! She was a showstopper.... from her jewelries to her perfumes (her best fragrances were Fahrenheit by Christian Dior, Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden and of course, Diamonds and Emeralds by Elizabeth Taylor), Cerruti bags, Italian shoes, color combination, Fascinators and hats, sunglasses (she gave me a pair of Versace sunglasses years ago), you name it! Now, I am not just saying this because she is my mother, anyone who knew her can attest to this... My mom was trendy; she got us to wear the latest fashion for kids- from Chanel T-shirt for kids to frocks, JOCA JELLY sandals, claws slippers (can't remember the exact name), pop socks (now fondly called pantyhose) all types of leggings, ball dresses, dungarees, etc. she always had our hair done and styled with ribbons and all (I have four sisters and she catered to all four of us).....speak of proper grooming....! Eventually, we grew into knowing that one has to look good at all times...

 Another fashion inspiration for me is Gabrielle Bonheur Coco Chanel.... I wish I met her honestly!..... I read an article of how she wore frocks with her espadrilles to go fishing on yachts with her friends and I was thrilled...from pearls on a "little black dress"  which was her fashion innovation because LBDs are simple and black to jackets and a little hat, Gabrielle was indeed a fashion icon.

Furthermore, to be good in fashion and all it entails, there has to be an icon to always look up to, someone to dress like but at the same time, be yourself because that is the best thing you can owe yourself; if you can afford the luxury things? perfect! however, It does not matter how much it costs, the YOU is what matters!

"When you are leaving your comfort zone, dress to kill because everyone you'd meet out there is a hunter like you"

Behold! my fashion inspirations; my late mom and the late Gabrielle Coco Chanel....

Trust me; there's more where these came from....*winks*
