Abject poverty, no electricity nor network coverage as well as no proper schools around to receive sound education. That is the fate of the children living in the village called Dwen which is located within Gwer East LGA of Benue state. In the midst of all the adversaries, a young lad who doesn't understand English designed something which could serve as a toy for many kids within the vicinity.

| STICKS, BANDS AND SLIPPERS! |
After taking a critical look at the way the toy was designed, one could tell that he was trying to make a "scooter" using crude materials like sticks, broomstick bands and bathroom slippers cut round-shaped to fit in as tyres...... amazing! Although, the toy has no board for one to place a leg on, you needed to see the joy on the kids' faces as they ran around the village with it on barefoot..... so satisfying!
